Working closely together, La Sportiva has selected every detail: fit, lacing, upper and sole. Every aspect has been thoroughly researched to create an athlete-approved, long-distance running shoe. Breathable Air Mesh Upper The upper of the Levante has been constructed from a breathable mesh that encases each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot muggy air. TPU reinforcements add durability throughout alongside a recycled abrasion-resistant mesh lining for added breathability and long-lasting wear. This highly abrasion-resistant upper will prevent any damage from being caused, which will allow you to push yourself harder, safe in the knowledge that you won't cause damage to the shoes. The mesh also boasts lateral side panels in Net-Mesh for maximum ventilation and climate control. Additionally, the upper features an updated protective TPU toe cap, using recycled materials, that protects the front of the foot against trail hazards such as rocks and roots while side nylon panels help to enhance ventilation. A wrapping system construction also features on the upper to encase and secure the foot, preventing it from moving inside the shoe. The Levante includes a knit gaiter that surrounds the ankle, this provides additional support but stops debris from entering the shoes. Lastly, a traditional lacing system locks down the midfoot and offers a customisable and secure fit. An added passage at the toe of the lacing gives a greater adaption of volumes and an overall comfortable, wide fit is designed perfectly for use over long distances. XFlow Midsole The Levante features an all-new XFlow midsole designed to provide the perfect balance of fluidity, stability and flexibility. Designed, engineered and tested to guarantee a higher level of performance for even the most demanding trail runners. The force of each impact with the ground is absorbed to return a rapid response, providing a boost of energy and increased speed kilometre after kilometre.
