ULTRAWEAVE Upper Made from Puma's ULTRAWEAVE Upper, the Fast-R Nitro Elite 2 has an ultra-light construction, designed to keep feet comfortable, lightweight and breathable. The upper materials have a 4-way stretch design, reducing the weight and allowing the foot to move comfortably, whilst providing a perfect sock-like fit. The perforations within the fabric allow cool air to flow, whilst hot muggy air escapes, providing a cooling sensation as you move and a drier, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. Not only this, but the upper is highly durable thanks to its advanced construction, leaving you with shoes that are built to last. On the instep of the shoes, Puma has added PWRTAPE, which has been designed to provide structure and support, whilst also protecting areas that are more high-wearing. Finally, the traditional laces offer a secure, locked-in feel as you move. NITROFOAM ELITE Midsole The midsole of the Fast-R Nitro Elite 2 has been created using Puma's most elite foam. This is a nitrogen-infused foam, which is lightweight and springy, and provides you with high energy return and responsiveness. By infusing nitrogen into the foam, Puma has been able to expand their midsoles. As a result, the shoes are extremely comfortable underfoot and provide maximum propulsion with each step, letting you run further and faster with ease. Not only will the foam help propel you forward helping you to hit those PBs, but it also absorbs shocks and negative impact forces as you strike hard unforgiving surfaces. By doing so, it reduces stress on the joints and the risk of injury. An extended full-length PWRPLATE (made from carbon fibre) through the midsole enhances energy return and propels you forward. PUMAGRIP Outsole Made using PUMAGRIP materials on the outsole of the Fast-R Nitro Elite 2s, the shoes have a maximum level of grip on various surfaces, allowing you to step out and conquer the racecourse, full of speed-achieving confidence.
